Legacy Funeral Group Purchased Magnolia Chapel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama

  • 21 February, 2018

(Houston, TX) Legacy Funeral Group announces the acquisition of Magnolia Chapel Funeral Homes in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The expansion comes just after Legacy’s purchase of nine funeral homes and cemeteries earlier in 2018.
Magnolia Chapel, which encompasses two locations in Tuscaloosa, has served their local community since 1999. The funeral homes were formed after nine local businessmen realized there was an opportunity to better serve their community. These businessmen have entrusted Legacy Funeral Group to continue their legacy of providing local families with superior and professional funeral services.

“The staff of Magnolia Chapel Funeral Homes are known for their compassionate and highly professional services they bring to the Tuscaloosa community, and we’re excited to assist and support them at a higher level,” comments Legacy Funeral Group President and CEO, Michael Soper. “We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside these excellent employees."

Legacy Funeral Group was founded in 1998 and owns more than 100 funeral homes and cemeteries, spanning nine states. The company has built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in the death care industry and takes pride in preserving the familyowned funeral home feel in every community they serve—all while offering families a diverse array of funeral planning options.
